Have your say about Lake Oswego's future at Feb. 2 event

LAKE OSWEGO – As part of the We Love Lake Oswego – Planning for People, Places and Prosperity planning effort, the Comprehensive Plan Citizen Advisory Committee invites Lake Oswego residents and businesses to join in small group discussions around the goals and policies that will guide future priorities for the comprehensive plan. This community summit is focused on “inspiring spaces and places” and “complete neighborhoods and housing.”

When: Feb. 2
5:30-6 p.m. – Come for appetizers and mingle with other Lake Oswego citizens
6-8 p.m. – Short presentation followed by small group discussions

Where: Lakeridge High School, 1235 Southwest Overlook Drive
Children are welcome. Youth can either join the discussion tables, or participate in a supervised children’s activity.

To help make sure your child’s seat is installed correctly, the Lake Oswego Fire Department and Lake Oswego Police Department will hold a free safety seat clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Main Fire Station, 300 B Avenue.

Family coyote night set for Feb. 4 in Lake Oswego

The Friends of Tryon Creek are gearing up for an evening of all things Coyote.

From 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 4, families are invited to learn about the adaptations that make the coyote a successful rural and urban dweller. Families will also listen to coyote stories, make a coyote storytelling plank hat, and join a Nature Guide for an evening hike in the forest to listen for Tryon Creek’s resident coyotes. This is an excellent opportunity to get out in nature and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Tryon Creek State Natural Area, 11321 SW Terwilliger Blvd.

The Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) is holding its first auditions in Oregon.

Playbill has called BTP "the world's most prestigious musical theatre arts education program for high school and college students."

The Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) will be holding auditions at Lakewood Center for the Arts, in preparation for their 22nd season, three week intensive program in Dance, Voice, and Acting, July 8-29  in Tampa, FL.
